Our theme in our lesson is “ Kazakhstan beat Great Britain

Reading.

In an exciting game last night, Kaz and G.B drew 1-1 until the last five minutes of the game.

G.B scored the first goal 14 minutes after the start. They kept their lead in the first and second periods until Kaz’s Andre Gavrilin took the score to 1-1. The third period was as the fast and exciting as the first again. G.B played well in the fourth and nearly scored again. But just 5 minutes before the end, they couldn’t stop a winning goal from Dudraev. The final score was 2-1 to Kaz.

One of the British players said, “We didn’t play badly –in fact we played very well. But congratulations to Kaz. They played hard and fast and, in the end they played better than us”.

The Kazteam now have a week before their next match in the world championship. But they aren’t resting. “We want to get higher than last year”, the coach said. “So we’re practicing even more regularly and we’re training harder than ever”.
