“ONAY” Public Transport Card “ONAY" is a new electronic ticket system for public transport in Almaty. We inform that individuals failing to pay and register their travel by public transport and refusing to purchase an unified transport card for fare payment and further registration shall be subject to execution by local police officers of an administrative offence in compliance with Paragraph 2 Article 622 of The Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Concerning administrative offences" (evasion of payment for travel by public transport causes a fine in the amount of 2 MCIs).
To get “ONAY” Public Transport Card please send the information below to the following email address [email protected]: · First name, Last name · Year of study, specialty, language track · Scan copy of ID (both sides in Jpeg format) · Svan copy of Student ID (in Jpeg format) · 1 Photo 3*4 (in Jpeg format) Afterwards, you would receive the confirmation code to proceed your payment using electronic payment terminal. Center for Students’ Affairs Center for Students Affairs plays significant role in the process of forming student’s life. The main fields of activity are education, development of spiritual, moral, civil-patriotic, professional and creative activities of students and graduates. Student Council The annual elections of the President of the Student Council are conducted by students’ direct votes. Following the election results, the President of the Student Council is elected, and together with the ideological team is engaged in developing relationships with city, national and international organizations promoting bright student life, as well as holding student events of the university. Student Council regulates students’ clubs activities and student government. Student Council administrates Creative Zone – space where students’ activity is taking place, and students’ projects and ideas are born. Office of the Registrar Office of the Registrar - service, engaged in the registration of the entire history of the student's educational achievements; ensures the organization of all types of knowledge control and calculation of student academic rating; Main activities: • student registration and administration of student database; • registration and issuance of student ID cards, all types of certificates to be presented according to student requests; • arranging individual study plans and transcripts; • organization of registration process; • providing information about students’ academic results by the means of electronic student portal; • informing students on the academic achievements according to Mid-Term Exam results and Final Exam results; • providing relevant information on academic processes according to students and parents requests; • calculation of the academic rating (the level of the transfer point) of the student following the results of the course passed. System of knowledge control
There are three types of control on the bachelor programs:
• Current control of students' achievements of the subjects studied, which is conducted in the classroom;
• Mid-term control of students' knowledge - assessment of the development of a certain section of the discipline, is conducted during the periods established by the academic calendar;
• Final control (examination) - conducted during the examination session.
System of knowledge control
System of knowledge control in Almaty Management University:
Current control – Systematic check of the educational achievements of students, conducted by the teacher at the current sessions in accordance with the curriculum and the schedule of classes. Types of monitoring: oral survey, written control, combined control, presentation of homework, discussions, trainings, round tables, case studies, tests, solving practical problems, etc.;
· Mid-Term control – Control evaluation of covering the studied theoretical material, practical skills for a certain period. Mid-Term Control is divided into the first and the second rating controls. Mid- Term, control is conducted according to stated dates in the academic calendar. Starting form 2017-2018 academic year theoretical studies is planned in the frames of four quarters, duration of the first quarter – 8 weeks, the second quarter – 7 weeks, the third quarter -8 weeks, the fourth quarter - 7 weeks. Mid-Term control for eight weeks quarter is planned on the fourth week of studies (first Mid-Term control) and on the eighth week of studies (second Mid-Term Control). Mid-Term controls of seven weeks quarter are planned on the fourth week of studies (first Mid - Term control) and on the seventh week (Second Mid-Term control)
Intermediate certification /Final control (examination) - Final control is conducted according with examinations schedule in the period of examination after theoretical training (quarter);
At the University there is a cumulative score-rating system of marks with the use of alphabetic symbols and the corresponding digital equivalent for determining the level of knowledge of students, and forms the cumulative indicator of the student's progress in all disciplines and courses (GPA).

A student who is exempt from physical training for health reasons is required to submit a certificate VKK form No. 035-1U (medical advisory commission) confirming the diagnosis.
