Public Transport

Bus

Bus is the main type of public transport in our city.

For night trips, you can use Bus #3 that goes from International Airport through the center of the city and ends in Orbita 3 MicrD. Bus Schedule: every 20 – 30 min. Bus fare is 200 KZT.

Trolleybus

Almaty trolleybus network is consisted from eight trolleybus routes, which connects West, East and South of the city with railway stations Almaty-1 and Almaty-2.

Metro

Almaty Metro is the newest type of public transport in Almaty city.

You can download Almaty Metro application on your smartphone. The application gives you quick access to the schedule of trains in an independent mode.

 

“ONAY” Public Transport Card

 “ONAY" is a new electronic ticket system for public transport in Almaty.

We inform that individuals failing to pay and register their travel by public transport and refusing to purchase an unified transport card for fare payment and further registration shall be subject to execution by local police officers of an administrative offence in compliance with Paragraph 2 Article 622 of The Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Concerning administrative offences" (evasion of payment for travel by public transport causes a fine in the amount of 2 MCIs).

 

 

To get “ONAY” Public Transport Card please send the information below to the following email address [email protected]:

· First name, Last name

· Year of study, specialty, language track 

· Scan copy of ID (both sides in Jpeg format)

· Svan copy of Student ID (in Jpeg format)

· 1 Photo 3*4 (in Jpeg format)

Afterwards, you would receive the confirmation code to proceed your payment using electronic payment terminal. Payment receipt need to be presented to Student Affairs Center.  

Card issue fare is 320 KZT.

One-way trip ticket by “ONAY” Student Public Transport card costs 40 KZT.

In the case of loss of “ONAY” Student Public Transport card, one need to contact “ONAY Center».
