Describe a person you are close to. Who is the person ? When and where did you meet ?

1I would like to tell you about human relationships in our life and, particularly, about friendship.

2 To begin with, it should be noted that friendship doesn't arise for no reason. 3And there are 2 possible variants: we are very close by our personal qualities and feel very comfortable together; or extreme meet. 4Because it's known that people often pay attention at each other and find points of love when they are absolutely different.

5People can make friends if they are neighbours, also in school, university, cinema, theater, cafe, during the travel in other city or country, etc. 6Also nowadays people can become acquainted in the Internet through different social networks, due to them people living in different parts of the Earth can communicate to each other. 7But, certainly, we can't live without live, real, emotional communication. 8As for me, I have both friends in social networks and friends who I communicate with in life. 9Frankly speaking, I have not so many friends. 10When I studied in school, I had only 1-2 friends, and during my studying in university I had slightly more.

11I'd like to emphasize that not only the number of your friends, but their personality, personal qualities are important. 12What is a personality? 13So, a personality is the set of habitual behaviours, cognitions and emotional patterns that develop from biological and environmental factors.

14It's of great interest that one of the well-known classifications of personalities was introduced by Carl Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist of the 19th - the middle of the 20th century. 15So, Jung identified 2 personality types which he called extroverts and introverts. 16Extroverts are open-minded to the surrounding world. 17And as for introverts, they are not so sociable and find meaning in themselves.

18As a rule, extroverts are often leaders in groups. 19Introverts, vice versa, feel comfortable alone. 20They have a lot of emotions, but they are hidden inside. 21Besides, they often have creative ideas, and they have good abilities in planning.

22It should be noted that the fact that we live in the world of extroverts is for sure. 23And, as a rule, extroverts find friends easier than extroverts, because they are easy-going, self-confident, assertive, energetic. 24In addition, they are adventurous and sometimes talkative. 25However, as for me, I believe that introverts, of course, also can be very good and interesting friends. 26Because such people are usually kind, thankful, generous, sympathetic, reliable, hard-working and thoughtful.

27And, in my opinion, both extroverts and introverts can be clever, intelligent and strong-willed.

28It should be noted that, as for nowadays, psychologists became very interested in such feature of a personality as charisma. 29Charisma is a kind of magic, and it's rare enough. 30It should be noted that charisma makes its possessors more successful and gives them additional bonuses. 31So, it affords people to influence strongly on their surroundings. 32Charismatic people are often brilliant communicators. 33And, of course, people feel happy in the company of charismatic personalities.

34I can give such examples of famous people possessing this quality of personality as, for instance, Oprah Winfrey, the famous presenter of a very popular talk show. 35She became one of the richest women in the world thanks to her charisma. 36Also it's of great interest that Marilyn Monroe, the film star, had so great charisma that Di Maggio, her husband, said about her: «It's no fun being married to an electric light.»

37I'd like to emphasize that, unlike fame, charisma doesn't fade and disappear over time. In my opinion, every person has a charisma, and it may be developed, but more often extroverts possess a charisma.

38And, to sum up, talking about charisma, I'd like to say that, as a rule, charismatic people have more friends than people not possessing this quality of personality. 39However, it should be noted that, of course, not only extroverts, but introverts too can possess it. 40I can give such examples as Michael Vrubel, a painter, Alexander Block, a poet, or, perhaps, Michael Dell, a founder « Dell » company producing computers. 41So, introversion and shyness of these people didn't interrupt them to develop their talents and become successful, outstanding and famous personalities.
