The organizers of the competition



State budget professional educational institution of the Sverdlovsk region "Ural College of Music";

Ural Regional Center for Musically Gifted Children and Youth.

The Organizing Committee of the competition suggests various options for attracting sponsors.

Date and place

The second international piano competition «KLAVISSIMO!" (Hereinafter referred to as the Competition) will be held from 16 to 19 February 2018 in the following nominations:

Piano (soloists), Piano duo, Concertmaster, Chamber ensemble.

The competition will take place at State budget professional educational institution of the Sverdlovsk Region "Ural College of Music", Anton Valeka Street 25, Ekaterinburg.

The purpose and aims of the competition

- to reveal and support young gifted musicians;

- to maintain and develop the best traditions of professional music education;

- to form performing culture, develop solo and ensemble performance;

- to generalize pedagogical experience, enhancement of professional skills;

- to support and promote  talented children and young musicians in the competitions

Conditions

The competition is preceded by a selective audition, which is conducted on video recordings. Video records are received by the organizing committee from November 20 to December 5, 2017, together with a package of documents (application, photocopy of the birth certificate or passport, photo) by e-mail to: [email protected]. The results of the qualifying hearings are announced no later than December 25, 2017, posted on the website of the Ural College of Music.

The winners of the qualifying hearings confirm their participation in the main round of the Contest until January 15, 2018 in writing, sending their consent by e-mail to: [email protected].

The main round of the Contest is held from 16 to 19 February 2018.

Nominations of the Competition:

1. Piano (soloists);

2. Piano duo (in 4 hands, 2 grand pianos);

3. Concertmaster

4. Chamber ensemble.

The composition of chamber and piano ensembles includes only those currently studying in an educational institution.

The order of the participants' performance in each nomination is determined by drawing during the competitive events. In the case of a large number of participants, the organizing committee has the right to independently determine the order in alphabetical order (piano duets, chamber ensembles - by the name of the first participant specified in the application).

The rules of the competition and the order of competitive performances are placed on the official website of the Ural College of Music www.uralmuscollege.ru 14 days before the start of the Competition. The Rules of the Contest provide for conducting master classes, concerts.

Competitive events are broadcast online and have the right to be published without violating the RF law "On Copyright and Related Rights".

The Organizing Committee of the competition approves symbols of the competition, logo, mock-ups of the prospectus, diplomas.

Age categories.

Students of children's art schools, children's music schools, students of educational institutions of secondary vocational education (including secondary special musical educational institutions) take part in the competition.

The cast of participants in nominations is determined by age categories. Participation of one participant in several nominations is allowed. The participants of the competition can declare their participation in the older age groups provided that the relevant program requirements are met.

The age category of soloists is determined by age on February 15, 2013. Age category in the nominations "Piano duet", is determined by the age of the junior participant on February 15, 2013.

The competition is organized according to age groups:

Nomination 1. Pianoforte (soloists)

Group A - up to 11 years;

Group B - 12-14 years;

Group C - 15-17 years;

Group D - 18-19 years.

Nomination 2. Concertmaster

Group A - up to 14 years;

Group B - up to 19 years.

Nomination 3. Piano duet (4 hands, 2 grand pianos)

Group A - up to 14 years;

Group B - up to 19 years.

Nomination 4. Chamber ensemble

Up to 19 years (the lower limit of age is not specified);

 

7. Competitive requirements:

For the audition for video recordings from November 20 to December 5, 2017, the Contest participants provide:

- in the nomination 1. Piano (soloists) - 2 works with the obligatory inclusion of one work from the competition program of the II round (the etude is welcomed);

- in nominations 2. Concertmaster; 3. Piano duet (4 hands, 2 pianos) - 1 work from the competitive program of the II round;

- in nomination 4. Chamber ensemble: one part of the classical sonata (welcome to the sonata allegro). Chamber ensemble (consisting of cello - pianoforte) in video recording presents variations entirely.
