Precautions for Handling

   Do not  store   the  CD-RW   in  locations  exposed   to  direct  sunlight  or   in  warm or humid  places.  When  not  in  use,  store  the CD-RW  in  its  original  case,  so  that  the recording  surface  is underneath.  Avoid  fingerprints and scratches.

Keep  the  recording  surface  of  the CD-RW clean,  as  dust or condensation  may  affect  its performance.  When  removing  dust, use a soft  dry cloth or a  CD cleaner kit.  Do not  use  chemically  treated  cloths  or  volatile solvents such  as  thinner, benzene,  anti-static  fluid, as  they can damage the CD-RW.  Be  sure to handle  the  CD-RW gently. Any shock can cause  damage. Do not bend the CD - RW .

A Computer Mouse

 

A mouse allow you to (1)………. the cursor and move around the screen very quickly. Making the same movements with the arrow keys on the keyboard would take much longer. Computer Keyboard

A computer keyboard ( or console) is divided into three general areas – a typewriter area, numeric pad and function keys.

A typewriter area   is a central body of a keyboard similar to a standardtypewriter. There are letters, number, punctuation and some control keys.

Letters, number and punctuation keys can be in two positions: upper and lower. Small letters (lower case letters), number keys, and some punctuation keys (full stop, comma, semicolon, dash, slash, square  brackets) are in the lower position.

Capital letters (upper case letters), some punctuation keys (colon, questions and exclamation marks, round brackets, apostrophe, quotation mark) and symbols (plus, less than, more than, percentage sign) are in the upper position.

The control keys (SHIFT, CAPS LOCK, SPACE BAR, BACKSPACE, TAB) are both on the right and left side of a keyboard.

Numeric keypad is a set of keys similar to those of a calculator on the right of the central body. These keys are dual function keys: they can be used for numeric data entry or cursor control.

Cursor control keys (UP ARROW, DOWN ARROW, LEFT ARROW, RIGHT ARROW KEYS, PAGE UP, PAGE DOWN, HOME, END, DELETE, INSERT) are between the central body and numeric keypad.

 

Function keys. A set of 12 program function keys is on the central body. Their functions are defined by the system or application programs.
