(Up)on reading the text we shall be able to answer the questions. Предлог on (upon) с простой формой герундия обозначает предшествующеедействие.	После прочтения/ по прочтении текста (прочитав текст/ когда мы прочитаем текст), мы сможем ответить на вопросы.
In solving problems it is necessary to distinguish between a fact and a hypothesis. (Герундий +in часто обозначает причину действия главного глагола).	При решении/ в процессе решения проблем(ы) (решая проблемы/когда Вы решаетепроблему), необходимо различать факты и гипотезы.
