Activity 1. REVISION: PRESENT, PRESENT PERFECT AND PAST.

Choose the correct form of the verbs.

Translate the following sentences from Russian into English. Read

Mary’s life.

Mary has always dreamt of living in a small house by the sea. She disliked living in her old house and she was thinking of buying a new one, because her house was rather old. At least she has bought it and now she enjoys living in a beautiful new cottage. Mary misses seeing her neighbours, because she liked talking to them and didn’t mind helping them.

She likes cooking and is very good at cooking puddings. But she dislikes washing and ironing. Mary hates getting up early, but she has to. She doesn’t mind working a lot, you know. She enjoys driving an expensive car having a car model Jaguar. Mary has always dreamt of traveling round the world. She loves meeting people because she can’t bear being alone.

4. Структура контрольной работы, общие требования к ее написанию

Контрольная работа предусматривает работу с аутентичными текстами и выполнение лексико-грамматических упражнений по пройденному материалу.

Контрольная работа должна иметь титульный лист, за которым следует выполнение пронумерованных заданий. Образец оформления титульного листа приведен в Приложении. Оформление текста контрольной работы должно иметь следующие параметры: формат бумаги А4 (210× 297 мм); ориентация текста по ширине страницы с учетом полей (верхнее, нижнее –

20 мм, левое – 30 мм, правое – 15 мм); межстрочный интервал 1, 5; шрифт – Times New Roman; размер шрифта – 14 пунктов; красная строка – 1, 25 см; страницы нумеруются сверху, по центру; нумерация страниц начинается с титульного листа (номер страницы на титульном листе не ставится).

Рекомендации по организации выполнения контрольной работы

Для успешного выполнения контрольной работы студенту рекомендуется:

1) повторить следующий грамматический материал:

- инфинитив (The Infinitive);

- герундий (Gerund);

- причастие I, II (Participle I, II;

2) повторить следующий лексический материал:

- лексика уроков 7 - 9 [1];

3) ознакомиться с текстом (упражнение 7) и выполнить задания к нему.

До сдачи контрольной работы на проверку ее необходимо внимательно проверить с целью исправления неточностей и языковых ошибок.

Примерный календарный план выполнения контрольной работы

Выдача заданий контрольной работы	3 неделя триместра
Сдача выполненных заданий контрольной работы на проверку преподавателю	не позднее 10 недели триместра
Защита контрольной работы	11 неделя триместра

6. Порядок защиты и ответственность студента за выполнение контрольной работы

Выполненная контрольная работа должна быть сдана на кафедру иностранных языков за две недели до окончания триместра. После проверки преподавателем студент знакомится с отмеченными недочетами и готовится отвечать на вопросы по выполненным заданиям.

Защита контрольной работы осуществляется в индивидуальном порядке в установленное преподавателем время на 11 неделе триместра. Защита проходит в форме собеседования (10 – 15 минут) по выполненным заданиям и вопросам для самопроверки.

Для успешного выполнения контрольной работы студент обязан:

1) сдать в указанные в календарном плане сроки на проверку преподавателю выполненные задания или фрагменты выполненного задания для получения консультации;

2) защитить контрольную работу в указанные в календарном плане сроки (порядок защиты описан выше).

Контрольная работа не может быть оценена положительно в следующих случаях:

· работа не выполнена полностью;

· работа не выполнена в соответствии с заданиями;

· работа выполнена с грубыми языковыми ошибками;

· работа выполнена несамостоятельно.

В случае невыполнения контрольной работы в установленном порядке студент не допускается к сдаче зачета по дисциплине «Английский язык».
